I create one off or very limited edition handmade solid silver jewellery and use genuine gemstones in some of my designs. I love gemstones and there are a huge variety out there so I source the best quality I can find and tend to go for the unusual either in stone or size. I started with a silversmithing course at Cartmel for 2 years, attended a weekend course with Jinx McGrath jewellery designer and have attended courses at Kendal on silver clay, keum boo and stone setting. All jewellery over 7gms is hallmarked at Sheffield Assay Office including my personal mark. My inspiration comes from lots of different sources, the natural surroundings of the Lake District, the big designers in the jewellery business and my quirky brain. I was also The Hangman part of The Hangman and Blacksmith which has sadly closed down.
