From the South
From M6 Motorway (Junction 40).
Take the first exit (Penrith A592) and take the right lane lane for Penrith town centre over the mini roundabout onto Ullswater Road which leads past Cranston's Foodhall and Castle Retail Park, the railway station and Penrith Castle. At the mini roundabout, just after MacDonalds turn left and stay in the left hand lane and drive over the next roundabout down Brunswick Road (the right hand lane is for Morrisons traffic). Continue down the hill. You should now be able to see the Gallery and Studios at the bottom of the hill. When you reach the bottom continue left onto the one way system and keep in the right hand lane. When you round the the island move to the left hand lane and continue past the junction for Portland Place and into Corney Place. There is disc parking in front of the Gallery as well as to the right outside Villa Bianca restaurant. If you haven't found a parking space outside the Gallery turn right and head up Brunswick Road. Near the top on the left there is a pay and display carpark or you can park in Morrison's carpark (maximum stay 2 hours) which is a little further up, left off the roundabout.
From A6 South.
At the Kemplay roundabout, staying in left hand lane, take the second exit, following signs to Penrith town centre, passing KFC, B & M and the ESSO garage on your left.
At the traffic lights, just past the Shell garage on the right, continue driving towards the town centre.
At Langton Street/Victoria Road (Bargain Booze/John Norris') turn right and follow the road round to the left past the Marks & Spencer store on the left with Merlin Court on the right. Continue past Friargate carpark and follow the road as it turns up a slight hill and bends to the left at the top and into Benson Row. Continue along (the road changes to Meeting House Lane) until you reach a mini roundabout. Turn left down Portland Place. There is disc parking on Portland Place which is a very short walk from the Gallery (discs can be obtained from the Gallery and local shops). At the bottom of Portland Place turn left onto the one way system and stay in the left lane which takes you into Corney Place. There is disc parking in front of the Gallery as well as to the right outside Villa Bianca restaurant. If you haven't found a parking space outside the Gallery turn right and head up Brunswick Road. Near the top on the left there is a pay and display carpark or you can park in Morrison's carpark (maximum stay 2 hours) which is a little further up, left off the roundabout.
From the North
From M6 Motorway (Junction 39).
At the roundabout take the second exit signed Penrith. Continue to the next roundabout (Stoneybeck) and follow the signs for Penrith. Follow the road all the way towards the town centre. When you reach the one way system stay in the left hand lane and continue past Portland Place and into Corney Place. There is disc parking in front of the Gallery as well as to the right outside Villa Bianca restaurant. If you haven't found a parking space outside the Gallery turn right and head up Brunswick Road. From A6 North.
At the Stoneybeck roundabout take the exit signed Penrith. Follow the road all the way towards the town centre.
