"Needlefelting is an ideal medium to capture textures and colours that characterise the animals that are my subjects. Where possible I use wool from that breed. Initially, I felted portraits of local sheep, but now I do a wide variety of different breeds as well as some goats, hares, alpacas and Highland cows. For the last two years, I have been needlefelting the Rare Breeds Survival Trust danger list. I have now needlefelted most of the sheep, goats and ponies. 10% of rare breed sales will go to the RBST. Commissions taken.”
