Athena Georghiou Bespoke Jewellery

I am a degree trained Silversmith and have lived in Cumbria for the past 6 years. I work from home, around my little boys and dogs. I have a table top workbench on the dining table (which has to packed up every afternoon before I pick the children up from school!), but I would eventually love an open studio so that people can visit me while I am working and see the whole creative process.

I knew that I wanted to be a jeweller when I was 13; my sister and I went to see a lady who made and sold bespoke bridal crowns from her home! I have always been creative and can get lost in the creative process for hours at my workbench- time seems to fly by, and one finished piece leads to a thousand other creative ideas.

I am inspired by things that I read about in books or hear about on podcasts; I love bringing the mysterious, etheric, or unexplained to life.

My creations always start with recycled silver wire or sheets. All of my pieces are carefully handcrafted at home, and hours of love have been poured into every one of them.
