Barbara and Kevin Maxwell run a Glass Fusing Studio (Glazed Expressions) at Crofton, Near Thursby, Carlisle CA5 6QB
Their beautiful studio is situated in an old stable block looking over the lake district fells.
Barbara has been fusing glass since 2014 . Her inspiration is from nature and the amazing fells and seascapes of Cumbria.
She has always been captured by the vibrant colourful, light reflecting nature of glass. She loves to experiment with fusing programmes to produce raised or completely flat textures changing the way light bounces off her glass art. Her art includes glass curves, stand up waves, dishes, hanging decorations and wall art.
Barbara and Kevin teach glass classes sharing their love of glass. They are happy to be approached about glass commission pieces.
