Penrith Art Club has 100 members geographically spread across Cumbria, from the Solway, to Carlisle, the North Pennines into the Eden Valley and Kendal.
The best place to see the wide variety of finished works produces is our Annual Exhibition held in August. The PAC website http://www.penrithartclub.co.uk contains a gallery section for completed works and we will be posting ongoing work from our activities on Facebook. Membership is only £25 / year giving members free entry to our monthly Club nights with talks and demonstration's from renowned artists, plus discounted charges for 7 workshops and trips to larger galleries and museums for art appreciation. Non-members are welcome at these events but are charged a premium.
Other club activities include weekly outdoor painting and sketching from May to early October, Life painting and drawing sessions with live male and female models, and Portrait drawing which run from October to April. New topics and genres are continually reviewed for addition to our activities and these currently include :- ceramics, photography and film making, printing, plein air landscape days, relief sculpture, textile art, digital art and others as members would like. Whilst art lessons are not provided, we strongly encourage sharing and we have some members who are happy to provide mentoring.
