Martin Reid
My work is strongly influenced by the coast, it's industrial past, it's fishing harbours and boats. I try to achieve a gritty finish to reflect the harsh environment of the sea and the effects of rust and decay on the metal, stonework and wood used in man-made structures. My work incorporates pen and ink washes with watercolour, various printing techniques and mixed media. I enjoy using found objects that I've collected from the beach and experimenting with different tools and ideas. Always learning!
