Lynne Frost

My first love will always be for the moorland landscapes of Northern England, particularly those in my native North West and Cumbria. I am an ardent walker in all weathers and I aim to capture in my sketch book those special moments that all of us walkers chance upon. I usually sketch in either charcoal or watercolour, and my sketches later form the basis of studio works in mixed media. Quite often, I actually like the original sketch best. Blencathra, near Threlkeld, occupies a special place in my affections, facing it as I do from our living room window. This is my regular dog walking terrain. Lucky me! And lucky Lou, my best pal.
