Keith Snell

I am a fine art photographer with a passion for the natural world – the details of the environment and the animals that inhabit it. In more recent work I have moved away from a purely representational approach to the landscape towards a more impressionistic style that explores the mood rather than the pictorial detail. This is accomplished at the time of making the image by creative movement of the camera and/or by superimposing successive multiple images in the camera itself.

I hold distinctions of the Royal Photographic Society (LRPS), the Fedération Internationale de l’Art Photographique (EFIAP) and the Photographic Society of America (EPSA). I regularly exhibit in international photography salons where my images have been awarded over 30 medals and 140 commendations in 25 different countries. I am also a lecturer and competition judge across the northern counties region of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.

The full range of my work can be viewed on my website or by visiting my gallery near Cockermouth by appointment. I make my own prints (up to A3 size) using archival inks and gallery-quality papers and these can be ordered from my website or in person at my gallery.
