Karen McSkimming

I am a self taught Scottish artist living in Cumbria. I love painting with a passion, especially animals. Their eyes speak and I think are the 'heart' of all animals... even us! I work off photographs and when possible like to come and take my own. I am then able to meet my subject and get a feel for their personality. This isn't always possible so that's when you send me your favourite photo to work off. The better the photograph, the better the painting! I am starting to dabble a bit in 'people' portraits which are more challenging but I do love a challenge! Any commissions are considered from landscapes to murals... all in a days work as an artist...
