Helen produces wheel-thrown pottery from her home in the Eden Valley in Cumbria. She enjoys making both practical, useful items in stoneware as well as decorative, raku pieces. She particularly values the tactile nature of a finished pot, and aims to make pieces which are as pleasing to the hand as to the eye.
As a keen swimmer and walker, Helen gets much of her inspiration from being in or around Ullswater. She is also a frequent visitor to the Isle of Mull in Scotland, and has a range of work in black and white stoneware inspired by the beaches and rockpools around Calgary Bay.
