David gained an MA in Creative Practice at the University of Cumbria in 2021. He uses a variety of media including coloured pencils, acrylics and alternative photographic processes to create his work. His subjects include landscape, nature and portraiture and he has produced two graphic novels exploring communities in and around Carlisle.
