Cathryn originally studied languages, business and marketing. She then moved on to a long career in Public Health here in Cumbria. However, after printmaking as a hobby at the kitchen table for a few years, she has gone on to study Art at Kendal College and, following several months of painstaking building and renovation, set up Brightside Barn Art Studio and Gallery with her partner, Tim. Here, she focusses primarily on printmaking but also works in acrylic and watercolour, with a splash of antique furniture reupholstery, and baking, lots of baking, along with lots of printmaking!
